Ilias Kokotos has collaborated with the “Dream Team” before, and was the creative director for Russia in 2016. DJ Katya Guseva is known for her remix of DoReDos’s “My Lucky Day”, while Olga Alekseeva attended Eurovision 2018. They went on to collaborate with musical giants on the Remix of Tsekede and on their follow up single Phambili. L-Tido’s Dlala Ka Yona continues this trend, sampling New School’s Dlala Ka Yona and reimagining it into a new-age club banger. Most recently Azerbaijan singer Aisel and Moldovan trio DoReDos worked their “Dream Team” magic in Lisbon.įokas Evagelinos, however, is known for combining the inspirational musical ideas of the team with iconic staging moments, such as Farid Mammadov’s glass box, the Tolmachevy Sisters’ giant seesaw and the screen extravaganza at the centre of Sergey Lazarev’s performance in Stockholm. K.O did it on most of Skhanda Republic, Durban-based rapper Duncan sampled Mdu’s Tsiki Tsiki and Dream Team’s Tsekede employed a line off TkZee’s Magesh for its chorus.
